U.S. Embassy Freetown Welcomes New Chargé d’Affaires Meghan Moore

The U.S. Embassy in Freetown is pleased to welcome Ms. Meghan Moore as the new Chargé d’Affaires.
Chargé Moore joins Sierra Leone from her most recent posting as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. She brings with her a distinguished diplomatic career spanning over two decades, with previous assignments in Liberia, Nigeria, Hungary, Pakistan, Colombia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. She has also held several senior roles at the Department of State in Washington, D.C.
Chargé Moore expressed her enthusiasm to engage with the people of Sierra Leone, experience the country’s rich culture, and deepen the long-standing bilateral partnership between the United States and Sierra Leone.
The Embassy and people of Sierra Leone extend a warm welcome to Chargé Moore.
