FCC Concludes Three-Day Community Climate Action Ambassador Training

On the 18th July, 2026, the Freetown City Council (FCC) concluded Community Climate Action Ambassador Training, impacting around 400 women and young people from communities across Freetown to strengthen local leadership for climate action.

Over three days, participants deepened their understanding of environmental protection, tree and mangrove conservation, climate resilience, and the vital role communities play in safeguarding our natural environment. The conversations, enthusiasm, and commitment throughout the sessions were a powerful reminder that meaningful climate action begins with informed and engaged citizens.

Looking back, one message stands out: lasting climate solutions are built by communities themselves. By investing in local knowledge and nurturing environmental champions, we’re helping create a network of advocates who will inspire action, promote sustainable practices, and contribute to a greener, more climate-resilient Freetown for generations to come.
