A video that went viral on 6th April 2024 showed wild senses of violence purportedly between the JAFFAL and ANTAR Family at the Young Sport Men Club (YSC).
According to reports, the clash started between children of these two families before escalating to the adults. The video showed scenes of terrible clashes to the extent that weapons were used by both parties during the chaos.
It has also been alleged that gun shots were fired in the air during the clash and that the timely intervention by the Sierra Leone Police deescalated the tension.
Citizens residing at the YSC environs have registered utmost dissatisfaction over the incident and are calling on Government to take tough action that will prevent the reoccurrence of such disorder.
Reports reaching this medium are that arrest have been made by the Sierra Leone Police and that YSC has been temporarily closed.
Lately, YSC has been upgraded from its previous status as it now has decent playing field, mini marts, barbing salon, a gym, guest house and other facilities that are operated by Lebanese as such it id mostly populated by Lebanese.
The recent act of violence by some Lebanese has left many with the taught that YSC is gradually becoming an ideal spot for Lebanese lawlessness.
