President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, has met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino on the sidelines of the 47th CAF Congress in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.

During their meeting, Mr. Kamara presented his four-year vision for Sierra Leone football, emphasizing transparent governance, modern infrastructure, and inclusive community development through sport. He disclosed plans to construct a new SLFA headquarters and roll out the FIFA Arena project, which aims to provide modern football facilities for schools and communities across Sierra Leone.

“It was an honour to meet FIFA President Gianni Infantino,” Kamara expressed. “We had a great conversation about my vision to build a transparent, modern, and inclusive football system in Sierra Leone. Together, we can take the game to every community.”

The meeting underscored Sierra Leone’s deepening collaboration with global football bodies, as the new SLFA administration seeks to strengthen governance, expand youth participation, and elevate the country’s football standards.

Mr. Kamara was elected SLFA President in August 2025, bringing with him extensive experience as a sports administrator and entrepreneur. His leadership has been widely viewed as a fresh chapter for Sierra Leonean football, centered on accountability, infrastructure growth, and long-term development.

The 47th CAF Congress, held in Kinshasa, brought together football leaders from across Africa to discuss governance reforms, development programs, and continental football priorities under the theme of unity and progress.
