2025 World Youth Development Forum Kicks Off in China

The 2025 World Youth Development Forum officially commenced in Beijing under the powerful theme "Unleash Youth Potential for Global Development", bringing together a dynamic assembly of 500 participants from more than 100 countries and 17 international organizations.

The opening ceremony and plenary sessions featured a diverse mix of youth affairs ministers, heads of youth organizations, influential youth leaders, and frontline actors in global youth development initiatives.

Twelve high-level officials, including ministers and heads of international youth organizations, held in-depth, face-to-face exchanges with youth representatives, exploring shared challenges and opportunities across various sectors. These dialogues were further enriched by a robust Q&A segment that saw seven young leaders raise critical questions, helping spotlight youth concerns and aspirations on the global stage.

In a major highlight of the forum, three landmark initiatives were launched:

1.  International Youth Advocacy on Unleashing Youth Potential for Global Development

2.  100 Excellence Actions of the Action Plan for Global Youth Development 2025

3.  Acceleration Week for Global Youth Development

These outcomes are expected to serve as catalysts for empowering young people, strengthening policy frameworks, and amplifying youth voices worldwide.

As the forum continues, more impactful discussions, policy engagements, and collaboration opportunities are anticipated. Organizers have called on the global community to actively participate and work alongside youth in shaping a more inclusive and sustainable future.
